I only have one app. Surveyor. Every time I start D8 I have to see all the promotions. I'm sick of it. How do I get rid of this:?

in edit->Webassist Preferences, choose memento and select Never from the list

I have disabled EVERYTHING in Memento and it won't go away. Preview, RSS feed, Memento

I NEVER asked for this in my Dreamweaver, and the persistency of it makes me unlikely to TRUST WEB ASSIST in the future.

How do I get rid of this ****ing Thing?

in edit->Webassist Preferences, choose memento and select Never from the list

Then close it and it shouldn't open again on its own... if it does let us know and we can open a support incident and debug and fix the problem.

Surveyor has a "remind me" option to remind you to upload a new site map regularly. You may have to clear those reminders to keep memento from opening. The option from the preferences will keep it from opening from any of our announcements, but it would still open if you asked for a reminder from surveyor.

I am not sure what makes you think it is ethical to add advertising to another application not even sold by you, but I want to know how to remove Memento PERMANENTLY from my Adobe installation. It does not belong there, I did not allow you to install it - you did it unannounced and deviously, and I should not have to be writing this email. I would prefer not to waste any of my precious free time blogging about this, please just publish the uninstall routine that all reputable software publishers provide to correctly remove unwanted software programs.

Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.

If you select never from the drop down list in the WebAssist Preferences, then the memento panel will never show in Dreamweaver, even if you installed or removed extensions.

I have been looking for weeks (since upgrading to Adobe CS5) for instructions on how to permanently remove Mememnto which popups on load and whenever I switch from one Dreamweaver page to another.

I tried the Edit - WebAssist Preferences instructions but can't even get to that - I get a Javascript error

I've deleted the .dat file - nothing seems to work. Any other ideas?

What is the javascript error you get?

We will need to know the error text to have an idea on the cause to correct it.

The error is
"Error in Mememnto [sic] panel initialized UI:
Reference Error: wa is not defined."

Sorry for the delay in responding - I failed to subscribe to the thread!

The error pops up actually 4 times before I can get it off my screen.

When I try to remove Memento in the WA Preferences, I get this error message:

While executing onload, the following javascript error occurred:
At line 312 of file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Commands\WA_Preferences.htm": wa.user_interface has no properties

Thanks to Jason I discovered I had a number of old extensions which were conflicting with each other in CS5 - I removed those and updated a few others and the problem was resolved.
Thanks!

Can any please explain the meaning of the error message below:
Error in Memento Panel InitializeUI
TypeError:wa.user_interface.floaterShouldInitializ e is not a function

As the screen capture reveals.

I have tried going through WebAssist Preference to disable memento but I cannot get the Preference dialogue box to open.

The above error message keeps popping up at regular intervals and it is quite frankly annoying as it interrupts my workflow.

I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5.

Please help.

please give the names and version numbers.

If you have an older version of supper suite, you may have some extensions that are not compatible with DW CS5, the only way I can tell you whether that is the case is if you list the names and version numbers of what is installed.

I have NO WA extensions running anymore in Dreamweaver 5.5 on a Mac running OS 10.7.3. I am getting the attached Memento error message every time I start Dreamweaver. I have deleted the cache file and still get this message.
