Custom Shipping Charts

Ok, so now I have extended my deadline to Dec. 1st and am writing to find someone to help me construct our custom shipping charts. Please go to http://www.rainbowracing.com/Shipping.htm - I need to hire someone to create this for me. Any suggestions? Our shipping is figured out for the year and needs to match our catalog as shown in the above link. Each product has a specific weight, once the items have been added to the cart the weight will need to be rounded to the next whole number (1.5 would round to 2 lbs). Based on the weight, the zip code it is being shipped to and the speed in which the package shall arrive will have a specific price for shipping.

Does Webassist have freelance script writers? If not, do you have any suggestions? I have asked for assistance from your forum here on how to create this myself and it doesn't seem that anybody wants to handle that thread I guess? So who wants to do it and how much $$?

I can create the database if instructed on how the tables should be setup. Please help me :confused:

If you have a Fed-Ex account you can sign up to use their web API that will return all this info for you, see www.cotswold.com as an example of what can be done using the Fed-Ex API.

If not you would need to create a number of linked tables containing the information and then perform a look-up based on the clients entered shipping address.

I have spoken with Les above and he has provided us with a quote and a turnaround time of a few days. Please let me know how much you believe this would run us and how long it would take to accomplish this. I will need to be able to change the values from year to year and am very comfortable using MAMP PRO and phpMyAdmin.

As stated before I can create the tables as instructed to do so if that helps in cutting the cost by reducing the time you would have to spend on this.

Ideally, it would be great to have a customer enter their event date (or dated needed by) and then the shipping destination. So if someone wanted to place an order on monday and their event is on friday we would need to make sure that their package arrived no later than thursday. So if they decided to go UPS ground because they wanted to save $$ but didn't realize that it would take 6 days to their location, the code could include an if else statement to change the shipping to fedex 3day. I am still in need of these Shipping Charts as stated above. We hired a WA freelancer by using this job board, we have been waiting a month and a half for files and still nothing has been done, AT ALL! I am very frustrated and am now on the prowl again for someone to work with us on this project. We have been quoted a range of $500 to $1200 for the same job. If you would be interesting in helping me out please respond to this thread with your contact information, quoted price and time it would take to complete. As stated before I can do allot of the work if instructed on the proper way to do so.
