Security Assist Wizard hangs forever

I can't use the wizard at all because it hangs at screen 2 of 6. It says Please Wait, Generating Preview, but it doesn't. I am using DW CS3.

What I did:
Created a template with an editible Region, Database table with user data. Everything can be selected on Screen 1/6 without any errors. As soon as I click "Next", it hangs forever and I have to kill DW as a whole, because nothing works anymore.

Whats wrong?

Go to
Edit->WebAssist Preferences

and disable the preview. Does that allow the interface to work?

What version on IE do you have installed? What OS are you on?

thanks for the hint. If I switch off preview as you describe it works but then I hav no preview ...

I have IE 8 in compatibility mode (updated automatically, so had no choice) but I hardly use it on my Windows XP Box. I prefer Firefox.

It uses IE for the preview, and if you don't have IE installed at all I know that can cause issues.

You can submit a support incident in the meantime... at the end of the day we'll need to reproduce the problem to fix it, but sometimes we can work with you directly to reproduce the problem on your computer to debug it if we are unable to reproduce it internally.

Either way a support incident is your best option at this point.

I also do not use IE, have IE7 (latest before 8) installed on XP (all patches up-to-date), DW CS5. Other previews seem to work fine but not SecurityAssist Wizard.

What version of Dreamweaver?

What version of Security Assist?

What Operating System? We'll try to look into this problem further on a similar configuration to try to reproduce it. If we are unable to, we will need to set up a phone call to debug it with you directly.
