Do you have an example of the links that are not working for you? I'm in the process of doing an import on this site to test some things out currently.

The menu on the left side of the page is very dynamic. In my testing I was able to import this site and the navigation on the left will work to go to different parts of the site. However it looks like many of the product images were not able to be imported so the product pages have a bunch of broken images on them. I'm including the wa site import log for your reference.

Hi Eric

Thanks for trying but this is exactly the problem we are facing. The log file is similar as ours. What level did you try? As we have tried upto 2nd level till date. Can you have any idea why the links are broken? Could it because of folder permissions?

Thanks

When I check on the location of the links it seems that they are correct, but the images were not downloaded. It may be because too many resources were downloaded for the settings we were using.

It would be worth trying to do an import of the specific images directory to see if you can get them this way:

http://www.2ndhandmobilephones.co.uk/2nd_hand_mobile_phone_images/thumbs

Hi Eric

Thanks sure I will try this. But if you check no product detail page is working. I did 2nd level import. Not sure if this worth or not.

See the link below of our site.

Hi Eric

Actually we also noticed the detailed page links filenames are different from the .php file name.
Eg. See the link here http://www.2ndhandmobilephones.co.uk/

Check Nokia 1100 A Grade in right panel bottom links

http://www.2ndhandmobilephones.co.uk/second_hand_mobile_phones.asp?manufacturer=Nokia&model=1100 A Grade&condition=Pristine&id=160&title=model&group1=&group2=

and not on our site check this link
http://thephonewarehouse.net/secondhandmobilephonesmanufacturerNokiamodel1100%2 0A%20GradeconditionPristineid160titlemodelgroup1gr oup2.php

and all over the file names actually made are having '_' (underscore) in name. I mean the file name should be like second_hand_mobile_phones_manufacture.....

Can you comment on this?

This is how Site Import works. The pages on the live site have the same name but they dynamically display different content based on the values in the URL parameters. Site Import does not have access to any of the server side code so it makes individual pages for each of the different URL parameter configurations that it encounters for a given page.

What you get in the end with Site Import is a static version of the site. Have you tried specifying the directory that the 2nd level pages are in as the staring point for the import? This should let the process start at a sub directory and crawl the site from there. You can also increase the number of pages to import to account for more pages that are in the site.
