Cologne

Hi there,
I cant insert the Google Maps. I use a DW Template, and the extension always says "Put the Courser inside the BODY TAG" there I am!
How to fix that?

The issue may be in the extension code that tried to recognize where insertion points are within a child page from a template. Can you post a link to your page?

I suppose if you are anxious to get it working you could create a non-template page in the templates directory, add the map there and copy and paste to the correct location on your templated page.
Please post a support incident and include a copy of the page you are working with. This will allow us to reproduce and fix the problem if it has something to do with the way your template is structured.

I had the same issue, the way I got around it was to put my cursor inside the body tag in code view, then select the promaps insert menu

This is an example of a template page with this issue:

I get the same error and can't get it to work no matter where I put the cursor.
I've tried it on a non-template page and still not working.
Dreamweaver CS3.

You can try detaching it from the template and then trying to insert the map again. Then after inserting the map apply the template again. Or as Ray said above, you can create a non-template page and insert the map there and then copy the necessary code over to the templated page.

If you mean me, I started with a new, non-template page. It will not work on any page. I get the same error.
I start with a new page and click ProMaps. It says to save the page first - I save it. Then, I click on Pro Maps and get the same error.

Since the suggestions posted here do not work, what is the procedure to open a support ticket?

This helped for me:
Remove all PHP code outside the HTML (save it somewhere else).
Then it works. Sometimes it does not work right away maybe because of some dreamweaver cache issue. But after a while (maybe re-open the page) it works.
Finally add your PHP code again which you removed.
Of course this is only a workaround until WA addresses the issue with an update.
Good luck!

There is no PHP. It's an HTML document. It simply doesn't work.

What version of the extension are you running and what operating system are you on?

How do you have your site defined for the page you are inserting the map to?

Which part? (Local, Remote) I'm not sure what you want.

Sorry for not specifying, if you could let me know what settings you have set for Local Info, Remote Info and Testing Server please.

I don't use a testing server.
Here's a couple of screen shots.

This information all looks valid. I will open a backend ticket to take a look at your error further.

Turns out the error was with using capitalized body tags. If the tags are switched to lowercase, then the extension works correctly.
