Hello,
I am having problems getting ThemeIt to run.
I have installed and activated it.
With a new html page consisting of one coloured word and cursor focus within the page design view, I use the main menu to open ThemeIt. (Insert => Webassist => ThemeIt)
The themeIt interface opens, but with nothing in the left panel.
At this moment a javascript alert appears with the text;
"While executing onLoad in wa_managetheme.htm a JavaScript error occurred." (see attachment 1.jpg)
When the "OK" button is clicked, an identical JavaScript alert appears.
When "OK" is clicked the second alert disappears and the themeIt interface remains, but with nothing in the left panel.
If either left panel tab ("Manage Colors", "Manage Images"), or the "Preview" tab in the right panel is clicked a new JavaScript alert appears, with the text;
"While executing onMouseUp in wa_managetheme.htm a JavaScript error occurred."
When the "OK" button is clicked, an identical JavaScript alert appears.
When "OK" is clicked the second alert disappears and the themeIt interface remains, but with nothing in the left panel.
The Color Importer appears to be working correctly. It will display either a local html page or the webassist.com homepage.
When the ThemeIt window is closed, a JavaScript alert appears with the text;
"While executing timer in wa_themeit.htm the following error(s) occurred.
at line 127 of the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\Floaters\wa_themeit.js: TypeError: MM.updatedImages[image].imageProps has no properties." (see attachment 2.jpg)
On inspection the file wa_themeit.js does not exist in that location. (see attachment 3.jpg)
System:
Vista 64 bit
Dreamweaver CS3
Most webassist extensions installed, plus 4 or 5 non webassist extensions.

To troubleshoot the problems I have;
Re-downloaded the extension. the file sizes were identical. (5.15 MB (5,407,530 bytes))
Disabled/Re-enabled the extension numerous times.
Uninstalled/Reinstalled the extension numerous times.
Deleted winFileCache.dat numerous times and allowed dreamweaver to recreate it by Starting then Closing Dreamweaver.
Restarted the PC numerous times during troubleshooting process.

Me to!

Another example of WebAssist producing a defective product.

Web Assist have you not heard about PRODUCT TESTING BEFORE you take our money.

We have been working with users through our support incident system and have identified and fixed several bugs causing issues.

We do product testing and even have a small beta group that helps, but everyone's site, page, css, and system is unique, so unfortunately the day after a large release when it gets into hundreds of people's hands we sometimes run into errors.

We are working hard to address those errors now and will be creating a dot release in the next couple of days to address any issues we find.

If anyone would like immediate assistance, email me at ray@webassist.com and include your phone number and I will personally call and debug the issue with you until it is resolved.

Installing Theme-It 1.0.1 Build 019 (Beta) does not change any of the symptoms I described here in my system.

I have opened a support incident so that we can work with you directly to get this issue resolved.

Please update your support incident with a phone number where we can contact you and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible to debug this issue.

Thank you for your patience.

I too am getting the JavaScript error when trying to use Theme-It.
I already tried the usual route of deleting the Win Cache file. Doesn't change anything.

"At line 411... wa_themeit.js;dims has no properties.

I'm using Dreamweaver CS4.

VERY frustrating.

I too Installed Theme-It 1.0.1 Build 019 (Beta) and when I start DW I get an error message and when I try to run Theme It nothing happens, don't open!

"unable to find file wa_themeit.html in the configuration/floaters directory"

It appears this might be a problem with a dynamic image reference on the page, or it has something to do with the image itself. I am referring to the line 411 error "dims has no properties".

Thank you for reporting this problem. It would be interesting to know what it was about the image that causes the error, but we should be able to prevent it regardless. We will work this update into the next dot release which should be available within a week.

"unable to find file wa_themeit.html in the configuration/floaters directory"

That implies the extension was not installed properly. Please try to reinstall the extension, the file it claims it cannot find is definitely in the extension package and should be found if installed properly.

You could look to see if you can find the file... in windows explorer, type in the path: %appdata%

Then click on Adobe and the Dreamweaver version you are using. From there you should be able to find Configuration/Floaters and check if that file exists that the error claims cannot be found. If it is there, try closing Dreamweaver and deleting the winfilecache .dat file whith Dreamweaver closed.

If this doesn't work, then post back and we can create a support incident to investigate this with you directly.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Did you follow any of my other advise above?

We haven't been able to reproduce this problem, but if it still happens after uninstalling and reinstalling then we should open a support incident and debug it with you over the phone.

Same error here as swrmick260574 in wa_themeit.js also...
Just purchased ThemeIt and it doen'st wan't to launch "randomly"

Seems it crashes on complex files and opens only on very small ones...

Dreamweaver CS4
Vista 64 bits

Laurent

NB : Just tried to uninstall and re-install beta build 019, but it doesn't change anything

Editing (03-08-2010): I have waited for the new release and it's ok, ThemeIt 1.01 solved the issue.

ALSO Installed both Theme-it and the beta, activated and verified.
Oddly, the first install of just Theme-it, even though it kept bringing up error messages, worked to some degree, but when I uninstalled and reinstalled, then later tried the beta version, I can't get past the activation screen. Tired reinstalling the earlier version again.
Did the whole delete cache files etc.
I did like what I saw when the first install of Theme-it kind of worked, but now I can't use it and am customizing by hand. Very frustrating, long and boring.
Using Mac OS X 10.6.2 and Dreamweaver CS3.
Tried everything and desperate.
Thanks!

I am having similar problems getting ThemeIt to run.
I have installed and activated it.
I have one template from PowerStore3 open. I use the Modify menu to open ThemeIt (Modify > ThemeIt). The themeIt interface opens, looking complete.

At this moment a javascript alert appears with the text;
"While executing onLoad in wa_managetheme.htm a JavaScript error occurred."
When the "OK" button is clicked, an identical JavaScript alert appears.
When "OK" is clicked the second alert disappears and the themeIt interface remains.

If the right panel tab "Manage Images" is clicked a new JavaScript alert appears, with the text;
"While executing onBlur in wa_managetheme.htm a JavaScript error occurred."
When the "OK" button is clicked, an identical JavaScript alert appears.
When "OK" is clicked the second alert disappears and "While executing onMouseUp in wa_managetheme.htm a JavaScript error occurred."
When the "OK" button is click, the third alert disappears and the themeIt interface remains.

I go back to "Manage Colours" and the "onMouseUp" msg reappears, again twice.

I then closed ThemeIt, it closed cleanly.

So not the same as the rest, but similar.

I have DW CS3 installed on an XP system. I have PowerStore3 and PowerGallery installed. I have several other WA extensions, including Eric Meyers CSS Sculptor and DW tools for Kuler.

I would really like some help on this.

Regards, Nick

Having fundamentally the same issue as most everyone else.
If this is at all pertinent, I've made extensive changes to the existing css in your files plus to "mystyles.css".

Mick

and I don't get past the warning as displayed in the first post in this thread - image2.

The above was on my MacPro Laptop Leopard

I get the same on my G5 Tiger desktop.

Files are on a network drive serving from a Mini Leopard MAMP

I have created a support incident for you as well. We will be making any necessary fixes and coming out with a dot release in the next couple of days. Please post files and contact information to help us reproduce the problem and we can try to make sure that it is addressed.

...right after the window for the serial number being good, it goes to a Javascript error on upload for wa_themeit.htm, which I must click twice to clear.

Unless I've tried it before with DW still open... in which case it goes straight to that same error, which I must click twice again to clear.

Sigh.

I've found, on deleting that cache file, that there are two DW Config folders for some reason... only one of which deletes that file, btw... I am assuming that it isn't normal to have two config folders.

When I initially did that it went farther and partially displayed the ThemeIt screen, but there were problems similar to some folks above about onMouseUp, but I didn't write them down.

Have you tried installing Version 1.0.1 that came out. If you already did that and still getting the same error message, please send me a copy of the page where you are seeing the error messages and any include files and i will debug the issue on my end to determine if this is still an issue.

Thanks.

Hi Dani,

Version 1.0.1 is the only one I've ever had.

It happens on -every- page I've ever opened and tried it on, html or php, so I'm not sure what to choose.

Does it only work on php pages? I thought it was supposed to work on anything.

Shall I just pick a random page?

Maybe I should try deleting the whole second DW configuration folder...

Dani Chankhour
03-09-2010, 08:00 PM
yeah, it should work on all pages.

I recommend deleting both of the configuration folder, and if you still having an issue, please try to run it on a new site with a blank page. I want to see if it is specific to your site definition or your environment, or if it is related to something on your pages.

ah, okay, I'll give that a shot.
