I've just installed Theme-It but when I try to open it, I get the attached error. I have closed Dreamweaver and tried deleting the WinFileCache file but it still happens. Dreamweaver just stops responding after that and I have to close it down. Other times if I try to open different pages from other sites and then open Theme-It I don't get the javascript error but it just stops responding and I have to close Dreamweaver down.

The error refers to google maps object. Are you using google maps on the page you are trying to open theme-it from?
It appears this may be an issue with our preview engine when trying to create the page preview when the page contains javascript. Does it work fine on pages without google maps?
We will try to look into this further, it appears to be a bug associated with running google maps but could occur with other scripts. It uses IE to create the preview. You could probably open up IE and turn of script errors and that could fix the problem in the meantime... or turn off preview and it should work without it until we can investigate it further... based on the error this appears to be a preview problem and not a problem with the actual functionality of the tool.
We will definitely look into this early next week to try to find a resolution. We can probably just remove the script from the page you are theming before creating the preview. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I'm having javascript errors also, but with Power Store 3. See attached.

This error is related to the revert functionality. You can probably click OK and ignore it and wouldn't have problems unless you tried to revert later.
We will have to investigate this more to see the root cause. What operating system and DW version are you using? We'll try to reproduce the problem and fix it sometime early next week. It appears to be a bug, but we did lots of testing with powerstore 3, so we may need more information or to create a support incident to help us diagnose the cause until we can reproduce it.

The error refers to google maps object. Are you using google maps on the page you are trying to open theme-it from?
No there are no Google Maps on the page. I tested it on the index page of 3 of my websites. None have Google Maps on them.
1. corporatecats.com.au
I get the JavaScript error message and then Dreamweaver stops responding.
2. primetimemeats.com.au
I don't get the JavaScript error but Dreamweaver stops responding. It seems to be while trying to display the preview.
3. firthwebworks.com.au
Same as 2 above.
We will definitely look into this early next week to try to find a resolution. We can probably just remove the script from the page you are theming before creating the preview. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
My pleasure, it looks like it's going to be a great extension, when I finaly get it to run correctly, I struggle a little with colour selection so it will help me immensely.

If I ignore it I don't get a preview of my page. If I take that same php page and make it a html page and save it then open it then it works. A little work around for now, but it's be nice if you didn't have to do that. Love the idea of this product. Thanks!
I'm on Windows Vista, running CS3. I'll try it on my Mac running CS4.

I can see when I view the source code on those sites that you have:
<script type="text/javascript" src="google_javascript/wagt_maps.js">/*wagt*/</script>
near the bottom.... it is leftover code from having a google map at one point I guess.
You can probably just delete that line and theme it would start working on that page. (probaby a good idea to do anyway).
We'll have to do something to try to prevent client side javascript errors from causing such a big issue.

Hi, I hope the attached error messages may help you when it comes to trying to solve this problem.
Note that the page I was attempting to use Theme-It with is the home (index.php) page of PowerStore 3. If I click OK on the error messages, the programme loads but doesn't show a preview on the Manage Colors or Manage Images tabs. If I then try to edit an image, for example, in Fireworks, the programme locks-up. The programme (DW) not responding error message then appears and I have to click to close DW and restart the programme.
As I said, hope this is of some use to you.

Hi. Ive purchased Theme It and having exactly the same problem. I made a site using CSS Sculptor and used Theme it to modify it, but Javascript errors all the time. No preview window of the site. I do not have GoogleMaps in my template either. Please help. Thanks.
Edit: I uninstalled Theme-it, rebooted my system, installed it again, and reset my workspace as suggest in this forum. Now it works as good as new.

Hi: All
You will get the same errors if you have Flash on the page.
I remoned the Flash from the page and all worked well. When I was done using Theme-it
I added the flash back to the page. But you could set your flash to export and image of the flash file when it is published ( you can set that in the flash properties panel) then use the flash image as a place holder for the flash (so you can use the colors with Theme-it)
then just replace the image of the flash file with the Flash animation.
It's a work around that worked well for me.
Hope it helps
Ron

Thanks for the feedback. We will do some more testing around pages with flash files to try to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

I love the new extension but keep getting the following JavaScript error while working with the extension:
"While executing onLoad in wa_managetheme.htm, a JavaScript error occurred"
While the JavaScript error message is not preventing the extension from working, it is nonetheless a terrible annoyance. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Several people have reported this problem, but so far none have updated their support incidents with contact information so we haven't been able to research it thoroughly.
I created a support incident for you just now. Please update it with contact informaiton and we will debug this issue with you and find a resolution.

I get the same errors as follows:
While executing onLoad in wa_managetheme.htm, a Javascript error occurred. Hit OK and see it again. Then it goes away and the "Manage Colors" interface appears, without a "Preview".
Switch to "Manage Images" and get error message: "While executing onBlur in wa_managetheme.htm, a Javascript error occurred." Get that twice, then get error message: "While executing onMouseUp in wa_maagethem.htm, a Javascript errot occurred." Get that twice. Then interface appears, without a "Preview."
I don't have Google maps or any Flash, but I do have the Google search box function on all my pages. I'll keep an eye on the forum for fixes, but if you'd like my contact info, it is as follows:
Bill Hudson at whudson@imstx.com.
Good luck. Looks like it'll be a good program, when you get the bugs out.

I have created a support incident for you. Please log into the webassist site and add your phone number to the incident and I can try to help you resolve these issues.
I think I may have found the problem with someone else just now, so we can see if that fixes it for you as well. I'd like to confirm that there aren't any other problems before getting a new build done in the next day or two.

Ray,
Thanks for fixing my problem. I very much appreciate how you jumped right on the issue and am especially impressed with the personal phone call and screen-sharing rewrite of the problem javascript file as I sat there and watched.
I'm looking forward to using Theme It.
Again, thanks for the outstanding support from Web Assist!

I too experience this today after installing ThemeIT. having read this thread I decided to just wait for the dot release (I don't really have a use for ThemeIt at the moment). So I uninstalled it. I've deleted the WinFileCache but continually get the attached dialogue box whenever I start DW now.
I can live with it for now but if I've uninstalled TI why am I getting this message?

This is a DW bug when uninstalling extensions that use a floater if the floating panel that was uninstalled was open the last time DW shut down.
The solution is to go to Window->Workspace Layout->Refresh 'your workspace'

That did it Ray. Many thanks, I'll have to remember that one.
Just for accuracy, it's Window->Workspace Layout->Reset 'your workspace'
