Validating/error message for (individual) form items in repeat regions

Anyone have a strategy for validating/showing error messages in form items in repeat regions, without having all the repeat fields displaying the same error message.

Rather use server side as client side introduces a huge pile of script to the page.

Hi check out this thread http://www.webassist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1402 it seems the validation toolkit is not supported for mutiple inserts updates withgt he repeat field but there i have a small explanation of an alternative method
