Q: Do you offer a trial or demo of SecurityAssist?
A: WebAssist does not currently offer trials or demos of our products. Instead we offer a 15 day money back guarantee with every Dreamweaver extension.

Q: Do I need to own Dreamweaver to use SecurityAssist?
A: Yes, you will need Dreamweaver CS3, CS4 or CS5 to run SecurityAssist.
Q: Can SecurityAssist be used without any coding knowledge?
A: Yes. SecurityAssist can be used without any prior coding experience or knowledge.
Q: Does SecurityAssist include an auto login and remember me feature?
A: Yes. SecurityAssist enables you to add an automated login and/or remember me feature with the click of a checkbox when using the SecurityAssist Quick Insert feature to create your login page.
Q: Can the design of the pages SecurityAssist creates be modified?
A: Yes. The pages created contain only the code necessary for the features to run correctly, so you can customize the look and feel of the pages using Dreamweaver or another editor.
Q: Do I have to manually password-protect each page on a site?
A: No. SecurityAssist can password-protect all or a portion of a site in one single operation with the Access Pages Manager.
Q: Does SecurityAssist allow for password encryption?
A: Yes. SecurityAssist 2 allows you to choose from the following encryption methods:
- Crypt
- Hash
- MD5
- RJINDAEL
- SHA1
When using the Forgot Password Reset utility, simply select an encryption method other than "Hash" and the functionality is implemented for you.
Q: Can SecurityAssist be used to check if a user has already registered?
A: Yes. SecurityAssist can be set up so that it checks whether or not a user has already registered to prevent double registration.
Q: Does SecurityAssist allow for end user password retrieval?
A: Yes. SecurityAssist can create an "Email Password" page so that return visitors can request their password if forgotten.
Q: What other products might I want to consider?
A: SecurityAssist is often used in conjunction with Data Bridge and eCart to password protect administrative pages and include a full user registration process for customers. SecurityAssist is also included in Data Bridge.
